also I’m getting to the point where I can pretty much tell how much some Doctor Who fans are going to hate the latest episode solely by how much other fans loved it.

I swear. I haven’t even seen the latest episode yet (and somehow my dash managed to be pretty quiet about it today?) but it’s like half of the Whovians are tripping over themselves enthralled in love unable to contain their wonder going on about it being such a great, while the others are disgusted horrified ‘worst episode in the history of ever’ and I’m just sitting over here like

Day 26 - Getting Married (Doctor/TARDIS)

She stood alone in a crowded room, knowing everything worth knowing and bored, but not yet so bored she would go crazy from it. Not yet so bored she would do anything to relieve it. Yet bored enough to watch the goings-on of the people and to find it fascinating. Enchanted enough to want join in the cosmic dance, fly on the winds of the vortex as she was meant to, as she used to, yet not so enchanted as to do anything reckless.

That’s what she told her sisters, because of course it wasn’t so reckless to keep one’s door open, right? Open to chance, to opportunity, to a certain young boy in his rebellious teenage years, as it were, skipping through the old folks’ home like a kid on Christmas, as it were. There was very little danger in it; she knew exactly what she was doing.

Sometimes she wondered if that was true.

Sometimes she flew through the Universe and witnessed marvels and lived more than she ever had, and sometimes she could feel her power ebbing, her body dying, hurt almost beyond repair. Sometimes she was lost, hopeless, with no way out, no way to get back home; no home to get back to, no sisters waiting, no reason to run and no reason to stop running.

For better or worse, though, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, she never stood alone again, and wouldn’t, until mortality caught up.

AU in which the Doctor is a very sick little boy lying in a hospital bed in a coma and his universe is just a dream. Each of his companions represent the kids in the beds next to him and when they die or leave the ward, they die or leave in his head. Regenerations represent times he nearly woke up or nearly died and the TARDIS represents his life support machine.

Day 12 - Making Out (Doctor/TARDIS)

author’s note - in which i reinterpret the prompt get again because i’m a little snot. also companion!Chloe makes another appearance yay!

The Doctor shouted at Chloe to shut the door, but she already had, and she bit back a retort because she didn’t want to start a shouting match. Being shot at was stressful enough. She leaned against the door to catch her breath while the Doctor furiously turned levers and spun dials around the TARDIS console. The machine jolted a bit as it took off.

“What was that?” Chloe, trying to emphasize how done she was with all of this in her tone alone.

“The TARDIS is still under fire,” the Doctor explained, then putting a calming hand on the center column as if patting the TARDIS’ head. “We’ll be out of here soon, though, somewhere less hot where the natives are more friendly.”

“Good,” Chloe said, “but I thought that was the plan to begin with.”

The Doctor didn’t respond. The TARDIS landed with a bit of a thump, and after taking a deep breath, Chloe opened the TARDIS doors. She shut them quickly.

“Oh,” the Doctor said, looking at his monitors. “Definitely less hot.”

“Is that the south pole out there?” Chloe asked.

“No,” the Doctor hesitated, “it’s Koorharn. But the people are friendly enough so it seems like we made out well enough,” he added, smiling at the TARDIS central column.

there was a creepy looking car parked outside my house and i’m home alone. so i put the doctor in my window and the car drove off.

pretty much as soon as doctor who starts airing i have to get offline to avoid spoilers but i haven’t seen supernatural is two weeks and ive managed to avoid almost every spoiler by just averting my eyes during textposts
